Frequently-Asked Questions

Q1: Do you offer a flexible schedule that allows me to do my classes whenever I want?

A1:  No, we don't. In our experience, our students prefer to have fixed days and times for their lessons.

Q2: Your website shows fees for a calendar month of four weeks, but what if I want to start my classes before the start of a new calendar month?

A2: Our students are manually invoiced monthly via PayPal, so it doesn't matter when you start. You can securely pay using your own PayPal account, or by using a debit/credit card. PayPal processes your monthly fees, so we do not have access to your financial details.

Q3: What if my scheduled weekly lesson(s) fall(s) in a month that has five weeks?

A3: If you want to do your lesson(s) in the fifth week of that month, you can, and you'll be charged for that month in advance. If you don't want to do the fifth week, you'll only be charged for your regular four weeks of classes.

Q4: What happens if I need to cancel my lesson?

A4: If you give us more than 24 hours cancellation notice, we will rearrange a make-up lesson on another day convenient for you and your teacher. If your teacher isn't available, we will assign you to another teacher. If you cancel within 24 hours, we unfortunately do not offer make-up lessons or refunds for that cancelled lesson.

Q5: If I'm dissatisfied with my teacher, can I change to another teacher?

A5: Yes, you can, but that's subject to the availability of other teachers. To date, we have not received such a request. Our students have been very happy with their teachers.

Q6: Do you offer more personalized lessons beyond regular conversations, for example, help with presentation preparation?

A6: We do, but that type of lesson, which will likely require more preparation by our teachers, will cost more. We can discuss your needs during your FREE consultation meeting.

Q7: Do you offer English proofreading services?

A7: We do not usually offer an English proofreading service, but we can accommodate a limited amount of work.

Q8: Do you offer discounts?

A8: Our prices are fixed. However, if you introduce someone who signs up and starts taking lessons with us, you'll get an extra free lesson in your following month. (Classes: 4 + 1 = 5) or (Classes: 8 + 1 = 9). The more people you introduce, the more extra free classes you receive.

Q9: Can I do more than two classes per week?

A9: From time to time we have students who need to do intensive study for different reasons. If the schedules of our teachers allow for it, we can accommodate your needs.
